I wanted to see if this card was too busy if I used patterned paper.
You will need:
Heavy cardstock for the base
various scraps of cardstock
Glue
Cutting the Card
The patterned paper may be a bit much but I think it is cute. If you want try the front layer in a solid color (the snowmen). The layer behind the house looks best in a dark color but a lit house will work too. Just slice the color to take out the windows and change the color behind them to lighter.
Assembly
First re-crease the fold on each layer. The front folds back and the back folds forward in an accordion fold.
Before you assemble this card attach the oval sentiment to the front. Then attach the backing colors to the house and the snowmen.
The layers go together by attaching the accordion to the front and back of the middle layer at the edge. This is what makes it stand apart. It also helps it stand up.
Your Shadowbox card is done! It fits nicely into an A7 envelope for mailing.
