This coloring with paper birthday cake was made so crazy on purpose. It shows how versatile coloring with paper is and how you can make each project uniquely yours. Try it today.
Once you are sure you understand the basics, download the birthday cake SVG File. The instruction sheet in the download file explains how to upload it to Design Space. The way I create these files means that there is no design space file.
The black paper I use for most of the outlines is linked in the materials list.
The color possibilities are endless. You don’t even have to try to keep the colors coordinated It looks great however you do it. Patterns work nicely on this Coloring with Paper Birthday Cake. Use your imagination and your leftover paper bin.
Don’t shrink the coloring with paper birthday cake or the black lines are too thin. You can cut multiple colors on the same mat.
Cut out the various pieces from paper scraps in your scrap bin. Watch my video about cutting multiple colors on one mat.
Assembling the Coloring with Paper Present Bear
First, stick the outline to the contact paper and re-cover it with the protective backing paper.
Now start placing the various pieces on the outline with the tweezers. The line for the leg and the arm will move around because they aren’t attached to anything. You can move them if necessary with tweezers when placing the pieces they fit into.
DO NOT TOUCH THE STICKY SHEET WITH YOUR FINGERS!
When all the open spaces are filled, check to make sure all the paper is secure. Press the protective sheet over everything and press sorta hard. Anything that seems loose, glue down with the liquid glue and let dry for at least 30 minutes.
With scissors cut around the outside leaving as much of the outside black line as you can.
Use the Coloring with Paper Present Bear as you like. I took the Coloring with Paper Cake and the present bear and made a birthday scrapbook page.
