Cutting the Cut Out Picture Back To School Card

Cut the card base and the Cricut will do the writing.  I used a yellow gel pen for the front and a red gel pen for the inside.  Did you know that you can use any pen in your Cricut?  You can see the trick here.  I used a font called Cool Baby, which takes forever to draw but I love the detail!.   You can download it free at Creative Fabrica if you are a member.

The embellishments and the card front are thin in places. so be careful taking them off the mat.

Assembling the Cut Out Picture Back To School Card
This card is super easy.  First, as always, re crease the center fold.  Make sure you do this carefully so that the cut outs fold properly..  Then attach the embellishments to the front center.  The cut outs on the front are slightly off center to emphasize the color and create a shadow effect.  Then attach the smallest of the four books to the front.
Attach the yellow overlay centered on the inside.  Then line up the boos border with the cut outs on the front.  You should open and close the card to do this.  Once lined up glue it in place.  Attach the bigger of the book cut outs to the inside of the front.  Follow the pictures if you need help.

And your Cut Out Picture Back to School  card is done!  And remember, it fits in an A7 envelope for mailing.  The CDC just announced that everyone in school should wear masks so be safe!  Decorate your own masks with this tutorial.
