Papa Cut Out Card for Father’s Day

This Papa Cut Out Card is easy to make but hard to design.  Lucky for you all the designing is done for you.  I have done others.  You can see the Christmas and the Mother’s Day cards at these links.

This Cut Out Father’s Day Card looks simple and it is.   This card is adapted from a card in Design Space. Tell Dad he’s worth a million to you with this simple card.

You will need:
        • Heavy 2 sided cardstock for the base
        •  Cardstock scraps
        • Pen
        • Glue
        • Download File
Paper Selection

The paper for this Papa cut away card must be two sided for it to look good.  It can either be patterned or solid. I used a paper that was green on one side and patterned on the other.  This is the best idea for this type of card.  It allows the words to stand out.  If the patterns are too busy the words get lost in the pattern.

Cutting the card

Cut the card out and the Cricut will do the writing.  I used a dark green pen.  If I had this card to do over I would eliminate the fluorescent green piece with the words and write directly on the card.

Assembly

First carefully re-crease the card.  The folds are very close to the writing so take your time doing this step.

Once all the pieces are cut out, fold the card in a Z shape so that all the writing faces the right way.

And you finished your Papa Cut Out Card.  It fits in an A2 envelope for mailing.
