Father’s Day Flip Card for Dad

Impress Dad with this dynamic Father’s Day Flip Card on his special day.  It is simple to make lets him know that you care and are thinking about him.

What you need:
      • Very heavy cardstock for the base
      • Scraps of cardstock
      • liquid glue
      • Download file
      • Washi tape
      • Pen
Paper Selection

The base card needs to be at least 100 lb weight paper. You don’t see much of it.  It is mainly there for support and structure for the Father’s Day Flip card.  Patterns have no point.  But the overlays and embellishments can be any paper including patterns as long as the pen shows up.

Cutting the Card
This is a pretty easy card to cut.  The dad embellishments are sorta thin so be careful taking them off the mat.  I put all the little parts on one mat by combining mats.

Assembly

First re-crease all the fold lines.  Work the card a couple of times to make sure it flips correctly.

Next glue the little stick guy on the overlay for one side of the flipper.  Then glue that overlay to the flipper on the back side.  Now you can flip the flipper and attach the Happy Father’s Day flipper to the other side.  Glue the Dad and boy on the bigger overlay.  Finally glue the overlays to the base card.  I thought that the card needed more so I put a little washi tape on each side.

Your Father’s Day Flip card is done.  Enjoy!
