Open this Halloween Scene Layers Card and find a 3D scene of Halloween fun! Each layer stands out creating a layered creation of pumpkins and some scary scenery including a haunted house and more. Who wouldn’t love getting this card?
The layers are separated by a folded piece of cardstock giving it the appearance of depth. Make this card for someone special. The card fits into an A7 envelope for mailing but if you want to make your own, you can with my video tutorial on making your own envelopes.

Paper Selection
This Halloween scene layers card was done in grey and other Halloween colors. The base card needs to be fairly heavy (110 lb. wt. or higher) and it does need too be two sided. All of the other papers can be any weight and don’t need to be two sided. I didn’t use any patterned paper but did use some foiled paper. Patterns would work though for the bigger pieces.
Cutting the Halloween Scene Layers card
Cut the card base and the Cricut will do the writing on the pumpkin. I used a black marker. You could also use the new foil kit from Cricut. That would look lovely. Did you know that you can use any pen in your Cricut? You can see the trick here.
Some of the pieces are very thin. Be careful when removing them from the mat. They tear easily.
Assembling the Halloween Scene Layers Card
First re-crease the center fold on the base card. Then, glue the embellishments on the front of the card. Look at the pictures if you need help. When the glue is dry, open the card.
Next assemble and glue together the pumpkins and the haunted house. The pictures will help. Attach the haunted house, cloud, moon and bat to the top half of the inside of the card. Again look at the pictures above.
Re-crease the small grey piece and fold into an accordion. Hold the card open at 90 degrees. With the front of the accordion pointing down, glue the small tabs to the back of the card just above the score line. Next, glue the pumpkins to the front fold and the gate to the next peak. This is a side view of the card.

Carefully fold the accordion flat and close the card. Then open it and pull the front layer out if necessary. Finally, attach the layered saying to the bottom of the card, under where the accordian lands.
And your 3D Halloween Scene Layers Card is done! Remember it fits in anA7 envelope for mailing.
