Cutting the Layered Mandala Snowman
Start with the lowest layer and cut the designs upward. This is a must!
Be careful removing the snowman layers from the mat because the lines can be thin, the top layer especially.
If you want to make the snowman smaller, you can go down to 3 or 4 inches tall. Change the size before cutting.
Assembling the Layered Mandala Snowman
As I said before, this layered mandala is very simple and a nice first attempt for making layered mandalas. If you want to do more, you can see others I’ve made here. As you cut the layers, build up from the bottom. Glue each layer to the one below it before you cut the next layer. There are no separate pieces on this project. All the pieces are attached.
You can glue the layers together with foam tape or liquid glue. Foam tape adds more dimension to the project but you end up using a lot of it.
Once the layers are all together, use a piece of cardstock that goes with your color scheme for a base. Frame the piece with a suitable sized frame. If you used foam tape you should put foam tape between the mat and the glass along the edges to make the frame stick up far enough to give the project room.
And your Layered Mandala Snowman is done.
