This Simple Thanksgiving Card is really easy to make. Perfect for beginners. It is made with only three colors and is easy to assemble. Send cards to those people you won’t see this year.
COVID is spoiling the most important of family events this year. I hope that everyone is well and I want you to stay that way. This is a really simple card, kids can even assemble it.. And it fits into an A7 envelope for mailing.
You will need:
- Heavy 2 sided cardstock for the base
- Various Cardstock scraps
- Pen
- Glue
- Download File
Paper Selection
This Simple Thanksgiving card only uses three colors of paper. The base card does need to be fairly heavy (110 lb wt) and two sided. I couldn’t find any Thanksgiving themed patterned 2 sided paper in my collection but if you have some, it would work great if the pen shows up on it. The other two papers can be any weight or color you want but I would stick to fall colors.
Cutting the Simple Thanksgiving card
Cut the card base and the Cricut will do the writing. I used a black gel pen for this card. Did you know that you can use any pen in your Cricut? You can see the trick here. I used a font called abigile and you can get it free at DaFont.
The letters on the front are cut out and very thin. Be careful when removing them from the mat. There are also lots of little pieces so be careful not to lose them.
Assembling the Simple Thanksgiving Card
Like I said, this one is real easy to make. Start by re-creasing the fold line.
And your Simple Thanksgiving Card is done! See wasn’t that easy? It fits into an A7 envelope for mailing.
