Reptile Gardens Scrapbook Page

Reptile Gardens is a mini zoo just outside of Rapid City, SD on the way to Mt. Rushmore.  It is the next to last (maybe) in my series about our vacation this year.   It also serves as another tutorial on creating scrapbook  pages in Design Space.

Reptile Gardens has a wide variety of snake and birds along with a couple dozen alligators.  Other animals call it home too.  I was very suprised just how much they had.

I hope to show you the versatility of Design Space when creating pages.  You can write on the page and make your own embellishments.

What You Need:
        • Download File
        • 4 sheets of 12 X 12 cardstock
        • tape and/or liquid glue
        • various scraps of cardstock
        • pictures
Cutting the Paper

One of the 12 X 12 cardstock sheets can be patterned paper but not both.  It is just too confusing.  You can make your own embellishments and they can be cut from any color that goes with your color palette. Access has quite a few images and it is easy to find things that go with your page.

Cricut will write the words on each page.  The two writing styles are actually the same font.  They are a fill in font I created because of my frustration with Design Spacenot filling in drawn fonts.  Made Large, like the title, the inner details appear while the journaling looks filled in.  You can read more about these fonts here.

Design Space cuts the top page to 11.5 X 11.5 inches, making a 1/4 inch border around the whole page

Assembly

Before you glue the top page to the bottom page, attach the pictures where and how you want them to the  the top sheet with glue.

Now you can attach the two pages together with the top page centered on the bottom page.  Notice how the  edges show the back color. Glue the embellishments to the top page where you want them.

 Your page is finished
