Update: Shaker Cards are done!
See my tutorials list to see how to make them
Boy, did I have a productive weekend! I got several projects done including a graduation card, a Fathers Day Card, a Mothers Day Card and several scrapbook pages. Some are already posted some aren’t but I’m getting there.
What I wanted to tell you about are the shaker cards. I have always wanted to learn how to do those. THey are just so dynamic. If you remember I did a few at the CKC scrapbook convention but they were already cut and ready to assemble. I priced those kits and WOW they are expensive.
You have heard the expression ” Give a man a fish, he eats for a day. Teach him to fish and he will never go hungry.” Well I decided I would teach myself how to make my own shaker cards. And I’m almost there.
These are some of the parts I have made. I am trying different shapes and different shakers (or guts). When I get it all worked out and know what I’m doing I will definitely share it with you.
Is there a type of shaker you would like to see? Or maybe some other project you would like to try? Drop me an email to let me know and maybe your idea will be my next project. I promise to share credit for the idea.
Until then let’s hope this week is just as productive as last weekend!
