Side Step Graduation Card

It is graduation time again.  Do you have a friend or family member graduating?  Make them this Side Step Graduation Card to honor them on their big day.

Note: Both of the download files have been updated to be able to make a boy version as well as the girl version.

This Graduate Side Step Card impresses every time and is simple to make

You will need:
        • Heavy cardstock for the base
        • Various Cardstock scraps
        • Pen
        • Glue
        • Download File
Paper Selection
The base card needs to be 65 lb weight at least, 100 lb weight is better so it will stand up.  The rest of the paper is your choice.  Patterns will work well with either but make sure your pen shows up on the paper you chose for the inlays.  I needed a girl card so I made mine pink.  You can make whatever color you want.

Cutting the card

Cut the card base and the cover pieces. The Cricut will do the writing.  I used a grey/silver pen.  You can do a girl side step graduation card or a boy card.  Just hide (with the eyeball) whichever you don’t want to make and move it to the right place.

Folding the Card

Re-crease the fold lines.  Starting at the front of the card, the first fold line on the right makes a mountain.  The next makes a valley.  Continue this pattern until all the folds are made alternating mountain and valley.  The left side is folded as a mountain.

Next glue the overlay pieces on.  The scroll goes on the middle peak.

And the side step graduate card is done.   It fits in an A2 envelope for mailing.  Make sure your graduate knows you are thinking of them.
