Paper Selection For the Two Gift Card Holders
I chose Christmas colors for these projects. The paper for the base of these gift card holders need to be fairly heavy (at least 100 lb. wt.) and needs to be two sided. They have matching custom envelopes to finish the look. I used glitter paper and foil for the embellishments to add a little bling. Change the colors and they can work for any occasion.
Cutting the Two Gift Card Holders
Cut the card bases and the Cricut will do the writing. I used a black cricut pen for the writing. Use any color, just make sure that it shows up on your paper. I used an Access image for the writing. You can use any pen in your Cricut. See the trick here.
If you want to change these for birthday or another occasion just change the text.
Otherwise this project is fairly easy to cut. You can move the parts around the mat to save paper. If you need to know how to do this, check out my video.
Assembling the Two Gift Card Holders
These projects are fairly easy to make. Start by re-creasing all the folds including the ones on the envelopes.

Then attach the red overlay to the card. Make sure you line it up exactly. Next attach the silver bow. And finally the gold bow. Open and close the card a few times to make sure everything works ok.
